Chennai, Apr 15: Chennai Super Kings registered a convincing 32-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in an IPL clash at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday.

Opting to bat first, CSK posted a competitive 192 for 5 in 20 overs. Sanju Samson top-scored with 48, while Dewald Brevis contributed 41 and Ayush Mhatre added a quickfire 38 off just 17 balls.

In reply, KKR had a shaky start and were reduced to 91 for 6, largely due to a brilliant spell from Noor Ahmad, who claimed three wickets and was named Player of the Match. A 63-run partnership between Ramandeep Singh and Rovman Powell provided some resistance, but KKR eventually fell short, finishing at 160 for 7.

The win marks CSK’s second consecutive victory, while KKR continue to struggle with consistency and remain winless in the tournament.

In Wednesday’s fixture, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face Lucknow Super Giants at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, with the match scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm.
