Mangaluru: Injured rider succumbs to injuries after bike collision

Mangaluru, Apr 14: Mohan Chander, who was seriously injured in a road accident on Saturday night, April 11, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, April 14.

The accident occurred on the Nanthoor-Pumpwell service road on National Highway 66, in which a 29-year-old two-wheeler rider, Gopal, died on the spot. Gopal’s bike rammed into Mohan’s scooter, following which Gopal came under the wheels of a tipper lorry. Mohan, who was injured in the incident, had been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Despite medical efforts, Mohan Kumar succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning. 

Mohan, a resident of Naguri, was running ‘Navya Studio’ in the Padavinangady area. His elder daughter’s marriage was scheduled to be held on May 10, and the family was in a celebratory mood. However, his untimely demise has cast a shadow of grief over the family.

He was a member of the Dakshina Kannada–Udupi South Canara Photographers Association and was actively involved in various organisations. The Photographers Association has expressed its condolences over his demise.
