Moodbidri: World Bunts’ Foundation to fund education of state topper Disha Poojary - B R Shetty

Moodbidri, Apr 13: Significant support has poured in for Disha Poojary, a student of Alva’s Pre-University College, who secured the first rank in the state in the Commerce stream of the 2026 II PUC examinations with a perfect score of 600/600.

Dr B R Shetty, the chief patron of the World Bunts’ Foundation, has announced that the foundation will bear the entire cost of Disha’s future education. Disha was felicitated by the World Bunts’ Foundation on Monday evening at the office of Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation.

Expressing his admiration for her achievement, Dr B R Shetty spoke to Disha over the phone to congratulate her. He announced that the foundation would cover the complete expenses for her tuition, food, and accommodation for her B.Com degree at Alva’s Degree College, as per her choice. Furthermore, he pledged to support her education until she fulfills her dream of becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA).

On the occasion, photographs were taken at the Dr B R Shetty block within the Alva’s campus, where Disha completed her PU education.

Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation Dr M Mohan Alva, project director of World Bunts’ Foundation Dr Sanjeev Rai, secretary Dr B Sachidananda Rai, vice president CA Sudhir Kumar Shetty, treasurer CA Praveen Kumar Shetty, trustees Dr Shishir Shetty and Prakash Manai, and members Deepak Prasad and Jeevaraj Shetty were present.
