Karkala: Grand procession held ahead of Mahaganapathi Temple Brahmakalashotsava

Karkala, Apr 11: As part of the upcoming Brahmakalashotsava of the Ajekar Mahaganapathi Temple, a pre-event Horekannike procession along with the ceremonial Ganapathi procession was held with great devotion and enthusiasm. The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the local community, creating a vibrant atmosphere of religious celebration across the region.

The procession was flagged off by entrepreneur Ajekar Shivaram G Shetty. Karkala MLA V Sunil Kumar, along with Ajekar Padmagopal Trust founder Sudhakar Shetty and Arun Bhat Ennehole, were present and extended their support. On the occasion, they offered prayers and wished for the grand success of the upcoming festivities.

The procession commenced from Ajekar Rama Mandir and passed through the main streets of the town, proceeding via Hebri Road towards Padmanagar. Devotees gathered along the route to offer prayers and seek blessings. Many residents stood in front of their homes, expressing their devotion by offering hareke items and contributions to the procession.

Traditional Kerala chende (drum) performances added a special charm to the event. Bhajan groups singing devotional songs and cultural performances further enhanced the spiritual ambiance. College students, NCC cadets, and prominent members of the community actively participated, making the procession more grand and lively.

Overall, the procession reflected a beautiful blend of religious fervour, tradition, and cultural richness. With the cooperation of devotees and the efforts of the organizers, the event was conducted successfully.

In this context, the grand Brahmakalashotsava of the Mahaganapathi Temple is scheduled to be held on November 12, and a large gathering of devotees is expected to participate in the celebrations.
