New Delhi, Apr 5: A stunning knock by Sameer Rizvi guided Delhi Capitals to a five-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Chasing 163, Delhi were under pressure midway but Rizvi turned the game around with a brilliant 90 off 51 balls, sealing the chase with ease and registering their second consecutive win of the season.
Rizvi, who started cautiously, accelerated after settling in, smashing his second successive half-century and building a crucial 50-run partnership with David Miller. His innings featured powerful hitting against the likes of Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar, putting Delhi firmly in control.

Earlier, Pathum Nissanka provided a solid start with 44 before being dismissed by Mitchell Santner.
For Mumbai, Jasprit Bumrah bowled a tight spell but lacked support as Delhi chased down the target in 18.1 overs.
Put in to bat, Mumbai Indians posted 162 for 6, with Suryakumar Yadav top-scoring with 51 and Rohit Sharma contributing 35. Early strikes by Mukesh Kumar put Mumbai on the back foot before a recovery in the middle overs.
Delhi captain Axar Patel opted to bowl first on what turned out to be a two-paced surface, contrary to pre-match expectations.
Mumbai were without regular skipper Hardik Pandya, who missed the game due to illness.
