Mangaluru, Apr 5: The 38th annual celebration of Shree Nagabrahma Taruna Vrinda (R), a prominent social, cultural, and sports organisation, was held at the Yashoda D Shetty Compound in Kodikal here on Sunday, April 5. A new ambulance service was also inaugurated on the occasion.
The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr Shivaprakash DS, Superintendent of Wenlock District Hospital, alongside Mangaluru North MLA Dr Y Bharath Shetty and other dignitaries.




























The newly acquired ambulance was formally launched by Arjun Moras, head of Sonar Infratech. In a symbolic gesture of community service, a wheelchair was distributed to a local resident by Arjun Bhandarkar, founder of Save Life Charitable Trust.
Several achievers and social workers were honoured during the event for their exemplary service in various fields. The awardees included national women’s kabaddi player Dhanalakshmi Poojary, Padma Shri recipient Harekala Hajabba, public lifesaver Eshwar Malpe, social worker Ganesh Kulal, and Seva Bharathi treasurer Vinod Shenoy.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Dr Y Bharath Shetty lauded the organisation’s initiatives and pledged his continued support for such social causes. He emphasised the vital role of NGOs and service organisations in societal development and helping those in need. He specifically praised the launch of the ambulance service, noting its significance for the public during medical emergencies.
Former Mayor Manoj Kumar, former corporator Kiran Kumar Kodikal, president of Shree Nagabrahma Taruna Vrinda Yogish Gatti, and secretary Jayanth were present among others.
