Mumbai, Mar 28: A ticket examiner averted a major mishap at Borivali railway station after swiftly rescuing a passenger who nearly slipped onto the tracks while attempting to alight from a moving train.
The incident, captured on camera and widely shared on social media, shows the passenger trying to get down from an outstation train just as it was approaching the platform. He lost his balance and came dangerously close to the gap between the train and platform, risking a fall.

Displaying quick reflexes, the TTE rushed towards the man and pulled him back to safety within seconds, preventing a serious accident. The visibly shaken passenger later expressed gratitude to the railway official.
The video has since gone viral, with users praising the alertness and bravery of railway staff in ensuring commuter safety.
Railway authorities have repeatedly cautioned passengers against boarding or deboarding moving trains, especially on busy routes, citing the high risk of accidents.
In a separate incident, train services on the Western Railway were disrupted following a fatal accident between Virar and Vaitarna stations. An unidentified person was run over by the Chennai-Ahmedabad Express, leading to a halt in services while recovery operations were carried out. The disruption affected several Dahanu-bound local trains, causing inconvenience to commuters.
