Tanvi Sharma enters Orleans Masters semis, India assured of another spot

Orleans, Mar 20: Indian shuttler Tanvi Sharma stormed into the semifinals of the Orleans Masters Women’s Singles, defeating Japan’s Natsuki Nidaira 21-14, 21-14 in the quarterfinal clash at Palais des Sports in France on Friday.

In another Women’s Singles quarterfinal later tonight, Malvika Bansod will face compatriot Isharani Baruah, ensuring India at least one more semifinalist in the tournament.

Earlier in the day, the Indian men’s doubles pair of Arjun Madathil Ramachandran and Hariharan Amsakarunan bowed out after losing 12-21, 20-22 to Indonesia’s Bagas Maulana and Leo Carnando in the quarterfinals.
