Mumbai, Mar 20: After a delay that led to cancellations of scheduled premieres, the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, have finally received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The dubbed versions were initially slated for premiere on March 18 alongside the Hindi release on March 19, but were delayed due to technical issues. The CBFC website now shows that the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions were certified on March 19, while the Kannada version’s certification is yet to be uploaded.

All three certified versions have a runtime of 231.38 minutes (3 hours 51 minutes), slightly longer than the Hindi version, which runs for 229.6 minutes (3 hours 49 minutes). The Hindi version received an ‘A’ certificate on March 17, with a modification on March 18, and the dubbed versions have been granted the same rating.
According to the CBFC synopsis, the film follows Indian agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza Ali Mazari, who rises within a gangster-terror-political network in Pakistan after the death of Rehman Dakait, aiming to bring India’s enemies to justice.
Bookings for the dubbed versions have now opened on ticketing platforms across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala. However, bookings for Karnataka are yet to begin. The South Indian language versions are expected to hit screens from the afternoon of March 21.
The delay had sparked confusion among fans after several shows scheduled for March 18 were cancelled. Addressing the issue, Aditya Dhar had earlier said that while Hindi shows were running as planned, Tamil and Telugu screenings would start later the same day, and Malayalam and Kannada versions would follow due to technical difficulties.
Despite the announcement, the dubbed versions did not release as expected on March 19, prompting theatres to refund tickets or screen the Hindi version with subtitles.
The original film had performed strongly at the box office, reportedly earning over ?1300 crore worldwide. The sequel opened to a collection of around ?240 crore, and its performance across regional markets will now be closely watched.
