Goa flights hit: Gulf services cancelled, passengers face disruptions

Daijiworld Media Network - Panaji

Panaji, Mar 20: Air travel through Goa has been severely disrupted as several international flight services have been cancelled over the coming days, affecting connectivity to key Gulf destinations.

According to an advisory issued by the Airports Authority of India, all flights operated by Gulf Air between Bahrain and Dabolim have been cancelled until March 26, 2026. Air India Express has also suspended its Dubai–Dabolim services until March 28, 2026.

Several other international routes have also been impacted. Services operated by Air Arabia on the Sharjah–Mopa route and Qatar Airways flights between Doha and Mopa have been disrupted, along with multiple operations on the Dubai sector.

At present, Oman Air remains the only carrier operating an international connection from Goa, with its Muscat–Mopa service offering limited relief amid widespread cancellations.

The disruptions are expected to significantly impact passengers travelling to and from the Gulf region, a key corridor for tourism and Goan expatriates.

Authorities have advised travellers to check flight status with their respective airlines and make alternative arrangements in advance to avoid inconvenience at airports.
