Srinivas University to host ‘Tech Yuva-26’ national-level technical fest on Mar 9-10

Mangaluru, Mar 6: The Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mukka, will organize its national-level technical, cultural, and sports festival ‘Tech Yuva-26’ on March 9 and 10 at its campus in Mukka.

Dr Ramakrishna N Hegde (Head of the Institute), Prof K Srinath Rao (Coordinator, Tech Yuva-26), Adarsh (Student Coordinator), Sagar A (Student Co-coordinator), Vishruth Krishna (Treasurer), along with the cultural and technical coordinators, briefed the media about the fest.

The inaugural ceremony of Tech Yuva-26 will be held on March 9 at 10.30 am at the Engineering College Auditorium in Mukka.

Shyam Prasad Hebbar, vice-president and head of Human Resource Services at Unify CX Private Limited, who has several years of experience in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and software in countries including India, the United States, and the Philippines, will inaugurate the Tech Yuva-26 Technical Fest on March 9 as the chief guest.

The programme will be presided over by Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor of Srinivas University. Guests of honour will include A Vijayalakshmi R Rao and Prof A Mitra S Rao, members of the board of trustees of Srinivas University, and Dr K Satyanarayana Reddy, vice-chancellor of the university.

Other dignitaries expected to be present include Dr Aditya Shumaar Mayya (Registrar – Academic), Dr Anil Kumar (Registrar), Dr Srinivasa Mayya D (Registrar – Evaluation), Dr Ajay Kumar (Registrar – Development), Dr Ramakrishna N. Hegde (Principal), and Prof K Srinath Rao, coordinator of Tech Yuva-26.

The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Cyber Security Awareness’.

On Day 1 (March 9), competitions such as Perfect Code, Capture the Flag, Prompt Buddy, Mind Prints, Blend Coding, Prompt Engineering, Error Eliminator, Web Design, Pattern Coding, Dance Battle, Start-up Pitch, Dodgeball, GeoGuessr, JAM, Project Expo, Logo Design, Technical Debate, Throwball, Robo Soccer, Ideathon, Line Follower, CAD Battle, Mock Press, and Business Sense will be held.

On Day 2 (March 10), events including Treasure Hunt, Fashion Show, Free Fire Nexus, Short Film, Drawing, Business Master, Solo Singing, Group Dance, Carrom, Volleyball, Photography, Reel Making, BGMI, and Junk Art Jam will be organized.

Sports events such as badminton and cricket tournaments will be conducted on both days, while the football tournament will be held on March 12.

The festival, which has been conducted for the past thirteen years, aims to provide a platform for engineering students to showcase their talents and technical skills. The first edition of Tech Yuva was held in 2013, and since then it has attracted participation from engineering colleges across Karnataka, Goa, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, with more than 400 students taking part every year.

This year’s festival will feature over 50 competitions covering technical, cultural, literary, and sports activities. Around 800 students from engineering, diploma, and degree colleges from different parts of the state are expected to participate in various competitions, while nearly 1,800 students will attend the two-day event.
