Moodbidri, Feb 15: A motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries after his bike collided head-on with a tipper truck near the Houdal Anganwadi centre in Padukonaje, under the Shirthady gram panchayat limits, on February 14.
The injured has been identified as Videep Madivala, a resident of Peribettu in Valpady. He serves as a teacher at the local Rotary School.
According to sources, Videep was riding toward Moodbidri when the tipper, which was heading toward Shirthady, crashed into his motorcycle. The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in a fractured arm and multiple other serious injuries for the rider.
Local residents rushed to the spot and assisted in shifting the injured teacher to a hospital for emergency treatment. The Moodbidri police have visited the site and are investigating the matter.
