Kundapur, Feb 12: A whirlwind that appeared on Wednesday at the sliding ground beside the Primary Health Centre, in front of Nada gram panchayat, created panic among locals for a short while.
The strong whirlwind that blew during the afternoon carried dust and scattered waste from the ground to some distance.
The sudden appearance of the whirlwind drew curious attention from auto-rickshaw drivers present there, panchayat staff, people at the health centre, and local residents. Some even captured the scene on their mobile phones.
It may be recalled that similar whirlwinds had earlier been reported in Karkala, Moodbidri, and Malpe areas.
