Mangaluru: CODP organizes federation capacity-building training for women

Mangaluru, Jan 8: Under the Mahila Sashaktikaran (Women Empowerment) project, a federation capacity-building training programme was held at the CODP (Community Development Program) office on Thursday, January 8. The programme was organized in collaboration with Misorier and Bangalore Cross organizations.

The session was presided over by Jayshree, president of the Samruddhi District Federation. The programme was inaugurated by Fr Vincent D’Souza Director of the CODP, who lit the ceremonial lamp and highlighted the importance of self-help group members actively participating in strengthening their federations.

Jagadeesh, coordinator of the Women Empowerment Project at Shivamogga KCOIK, served as the resource person for the training, guiding participants on strategies to enhance the capacity and effectiveness of their federations.

The programme was attended by Seema, head of the Jeevan Raksha Women’s Taluk Federation, and Supriya, coordinator of the Women Empowerment Project. Representatives from various federations under CO-DP and project staff actively participated in the sessions.

The event began with a welcome address by Supriya and felicitations by Jayshree. The programme proceedings were efficiently anchored by Bisinta.

The training aimed to empower women leaders, promote self-reliance, and strengthen grassroots federations, enabling members to contribute effectively to their communities.
