Mumbai: Aldel High School, Palghar, celebrates its Annual Day

Mumbai, Dec 16: Aldel High School, Palghar, celebrated its Annual Day on December 6 with a vibrant and meaningful programme themed ‘Dream, Believe, Shine Brighter.’ The event beautifully showcased students’ creativity, discipline, and thoughtful messages reflecting today’s social realities.

The celebration commenced with a ceremonial march, followed by a warm welcome to the dignitaries: Chief guest Sr Lavina Aranha, principal, Mary Immaculate Girls High School, Borivali, chairman Albert W D’Souza, secretary Elvina D’Souza, treasurer Elaine D’Souza Buthello, member Aldridge D’Souza, principal Sr Linda Rodrigues and academic director Dr Savita Tauro.

The Universal Peace Prayer set a serene and reflective tone for the evening. In her welcome address, principal Sr Linda Rodrigues appreciated the students’ growth and encouraged them to pursue their dreams with conviction and courage. She extended heartfelt gratitude to the management, staff, and parents for their consistent support.

The cultural showcase began with a charming welcome song by the kindergarten students and unfolded into a meaningful sequence of performances that addressed real-life challenges in engaging ways. The Annual Report 2024–25 was presented by students Krishna Bhamara, Devanshi Dubey, Soham Kudu and Ricky Kandikatla through an engaging AV, highlighting academic and sports achievements that continue to strengthen Aldel High School’s reputation as a leading institution in Palghar. The third edition of the School Magazine ‘Buzz’ was also released by the dignitaries, celebrating student’s creativity and accomplishments.

Trust treasurer Elaine D’Souza Buthello addressed the gathering, commending the efforts of principal, staff and parents. She said school may be young but the best English medium school in Palghar district. While highlighting upcoming innovations, she told that AICTE-sponsored Idea Lab, which is first in entire Palghar district and declared opened within the Campus on December 5 will also be made available to the students of the school.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Sr Lavina Aranha said it was a pleasure and distinct honour to her to be part of this programme. The theme which adopted the school for their annual day programme dream, believe, shine brighter is profoundly inspiring. She said we can make it out that through the performance of the students. She further said the students have shown that they have fully embraced this journey. One can witness the vibrancy and energy of the students in their performance. Students through their act centred powerful message to dream big. Foundation of any great life is a spectacular vision for the future. The act of the students reminded to believe in oneself and thereby turn that big dream into brave conviction. She advised the parents to give every opportunity to their ward for their growth. She urged them to trust in the capabilities of their ward and not to underestimate them.

The event concluded on a high note with the uplifting grand finale, ‘We Are the World,’ uniting all grades in a message of hope, unity, and global responsibility. The programme was anchored by staff members Dominic Ferrao and Anuradha Misha. Vote of thanks was given by students Riya Patil, Riddhi Patil and Deep Akare. Dr Kamal Shah, principal of St John College of Engineering & Management, Dr Govind Asne, principal of Aldel College of Pharmcay & Research, Suchita Gharat, principal of St John Junior College, Dr Mukta Jacob, principal of St John College of Humanities and Sciences, Satheesh Shetty, general manager, campus, Sudhir Babu, HR manager and other dignitaries were present during the event.

The Annual Day truly celebrated the limitless potential of Aldel students, reminding everyone of the transformative power of dreams, dedication, and togetherness.
