Keerthy Suresh named UNICEF India celebrity advocate, joins mission to champion child rights

Mumbai, Nov 16: In a proud moment for Indian cinema, National Award-winning actor Keerthy Suresh has been appointed as the Celebrity Advocate for UNICEF India, marking a significant step in her journey toward driving social change. The acclaimed actor—known for her impactful performances across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi films—will now lend her voice to promote child rights and well-being across the country.

As part of her new role, Keerthy will work closely with UNICEF to amplify awareness on critical issues affecting children and adolescents, with a special focus on mental health, emotional well-being, equality and empowerment. She will also support efforts to inspire stronger public action ensuring that every child receives the care and opportunities they deserve.

UNICEF India Representative Cynthia McCaffrey expressed confidence in Keerthy’s ability to connect with millions. “Her bond with audiences gives her a powerful platform to advocate for children’s rights. On the professional front, Keerthy Suresh is gearing up for the release of her upcoming Telugu film ‘Revolver Rita’, directed by JK Chandru. The film features a strong ensemble cast, including Radhika Sarathkumar, Super Subbarayan, Sunil, Ajay Ghosh, Redin Kingsley and John Vijay.
