Coastal Karnataka likely to receive rain from Nov 5

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Nov 3: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast the possibility of rain along the coastal region from November 5, following signs of a low-pressure area forming over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the IMD bulletin, light to moderate rain accompanied by winds is expected in some parts of the coast for a couple of days after November 4. The department has also issued a yellow alert for coastal Karnataka from November 5 to 7, indicating a likelihood of moderate rainfall during this period.

On Sunday, the intensity of rainfall had reduced across the coast, and the weather remained partly cloudy with intermittent sunshine and heat. Some areas in Udupi district experienced light drizzles amid the warm and humid conditions.

Farmers have been actively engaged in paddy harvesting over the past two days due to the clear weather. However, renewed rainfall could potentially affect ongoing harvest activities.
