Visakhapatnam, Sep 3: Dabang Delhi KC rode on a stellar performance from Ashu Malik to secure a convincing 41-34 victory over Bengaluru Bulls in their Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 clash at Vishwanadh Sports Club, Vizag, on Tuesday.

Ashu Malik led the charge with a brilliant 15-point haul, while Neeraj Narwal added seven crucial points. The defensive trio of Surjeet Singh, Fazel Atrachali, and Saurabh Nandal stood tall to keep Delhi in control for most parts of the contest. For the Bulls, Alireza Mirzaian’s Super 10 was the lone highlight in an otherwise disappointing outing.

Delhi started the match aggressively, with Ashu’s raids breaking through the Bulls’ defence. His spectacular Super Raid, eliminating Yogesh, Aashish Malik, and Ankush Rathee in one go, gave Delhi early momentum. A strong tackle by Surjeet Singh on Alireza inflicted the first ‘All Out’ of the match, pushing Bengaluru on the back foot at 13-5. By halftime, Delhi had built a commanding 21-11 lead.

The defending champions tightened their grip in the second half, extending the advantage to 34-17 by the 30-minute mark. Ashu continued to torment the Bulls, supported ably by Naveen and Neeraj Narwal, while Surjeet and Fazel Atrachali ensured a rock-solid defence. A second ‘All Out’ further dented Bengaluru’s chances.

Despite a spirited fightback in the closing minutes, including a Super Tackle by Akash Shinde and a late ‘All Out’, the Bulls could not overturn the deficit. Delhi eventually wrapped up the contest with a seven-point win.

With this victory, Dabang Delhi KC strengthened their position in the points table, while Bengaluru Bulls will need to regroup quickly after their patchy performance.
