Kundapur: Kingfisher rescued from net in Malyadi

Kundapur, Aug 25:
A kingfisher bird trapped in a net near the Malyadi small bridge under Tekkatte Gram Panchayat limits was rescued on Monday, August 25 morning.

The bird, which had become entangled in the net and was struggling to free itself, was first noticed by motorcyclist Anil Kodi, who was passing by. He immediately rushed to its aid.

Retired physical education teacher Sadarama Shetty of Malyadi, along with local residents, joined in the effort. Using scissors, they carefully cut the net and freed the bird, displaying a commendable act of compassion.
