Udupi, Aug 16: Winners of the 'Click a Photo and Win a Gold Coin' contest organised by The Original Abharan Jewellers were announced on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day.
The lucky draw was held on Friday, August 15, where winners were selected from thousands of participants.
The event took place at Mandavi Times Square Mall, Kalsanka, Udupi. Customers who had visited the BigBox photo booth at the mall between August 8 and 15 posed for stylish photographs, filled out participation forms, and dropped them into a box.
More than 5,000 customers took part in the contest. On Friday evening, the box was opened and the lucky winners were announced.
Satyavati D Hebbar won the Gold Coin. Poojashree Mukka Suratkal, H. Satyarani Yermal Bada, Nageena Koteshwar, Syed Mohammad Chitpady, Kalandhar Mulky Karnad, Malathi Udupi, Umadevi Udupi, Navami Handadi, and Sachin Thirthahalli won the silver coins in the lucky draw contest.
Abharan Jewellers, which has a legacy of over 90 years, operates 20 showrooms across Goa and Karnataka in locations such as Jayanagar (Bengaluru), Panaji, Margao, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga, and Chikkamagaluru.

The event was graced by managing director of Abharan Jewellers Subhash Madhukar Kamath, Akarsh Mahesh Kamath, and valued customers including Bharati Kiran Murthy, Priyanka Shetty (owner, United Surgical), Kiran Raj Shetty, NITK lecturer Ishani Bhat, Rachana Shetty Mangaluru, Sreeja Shetty Mangaluru, and Poornima Janardhan. Also present were marketing manager Dinesh Shettigar, Raghavendra Nayak, staff members Akshay, Shailesh, Drishya, and Dhanush.
