Amorim backs Sesko to shine in Premier League debut against Arsenal

Manchester, Aug 15: Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has tipped new signing Benjamin Sesko to trouble Premier League defenders as the Red Devils prepare to face Arsenal in their season opener on Sunday.

Sesko, 22, joined United from RB Leipzig last week in a deal worth up to £73.7 million ($99 million). Amorim said the Slovenian striker’s physicality, intelligence, and dedication make him ready to lead United’s attack, potentially alongside fellow newcomers Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

“He’s ready physically, and he’s always thinking about football. He works on his fitness every afternoon and has great potential to be United’s striker for many years,” Amorim said, hinting Sesko could start against Arsenal.

The forward netted 21 goals for Leipzig last season and has impressed at United’s Carrington training base. His arrival has sparked speculation over the future of Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund, who remains linked to AC Milan despite stating he wants to stay at Old Trafford.

“Hojlund is still our player and one more option,” Amorim added. “Right now, our focus is on Arsenal.”
