Bantwal, Aug 15: A large, decades-old tree collapsed onto the road near Parlottu, close to Neralakatte on the Mani–Mysuru State Highway in Vittal, disrupting traffic on Friday, Agust 15.
Fortunately, no vehicles were passing at the time of the incident, preventing what could have been a serious accident.
Due to the holiday, traffic volume was relatively low. However, locals recalled that just moments before the tree fell, heavy vehicles, including a lorry, had passed the spot.
Residents quickly cleared the fallen tree, restoring the road for traffic movement.
