Chennai, Jul 2: Iconic motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield has revved up its engines with impressive growth figures for June 2025, reporting a 22% year-on-year increase in sales. The company sold 89,540 motorcycles during the month, compared to 73,715 units in June 2024.
Demonstrating strong global appeal, the brand also witnessed a robust surge in exports. A total of 12,583 motorcycles were shipped overseas—a remarkable 79% jump from the 7,024 units exported during the same period last year.
B Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors and CEO of Royal Enfield, credited the growth to the brand’s expanding rider base and consistent performance across domestic and international markets. "We saw strong double-digit growth in June, reflecting the steady momentum we have built across markets. Our motorcycles continued to perform well, not just in India but in several key global markets, driven by a growing community of riders who resonate with our brand and purpose," he said.
In a parallel highlight, Royal Enfield flagged off the 21st edition of its legendary Himalayan Odyssey on June 30. Spanning a grueling 2,600 km over 18 days, the ride features 77 motorcyclists navigating the rugged terrains of Ladakh, Spiti, and Zanskar—including Umling La, the world's highest motorable pass. The expedition underscores the brand’s ethos of endurance, brotherhood, and responsible exploration, backed by a dedicated support system of medical and logistics teams.
Adding a sustainable twist to its journey, Royal Enfield recently introduced the Conscious Collection under its Green Pursuit initiative. The eco-conscious apparel line is crafted using Himalayan grass fibre, recycled materials, natural dyes, and organic cotton—furthering the company’s vision of marrying sustainability with the spirit of motorcycling.
With strong numbers, adventurous initiatives, and eco-friendly innovation, Royal Enfield seems set to continue cruising ahead on the road to global motorcycling dominance.
