New Delhi, Jun 5: Fresh off his IPL 2025 exploits, left-handed batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi is gearing up for his first-ever tour of England as part of the India U19 squad. The Super-Striker of the Season awardee is eager to soak in the experience of English conditions and contribute to the team’s success.
“This is a completely new tournament and a fresh challenge,” Suryavanshi shared in a video on iplt20.com. “I’ve never been to the UK before, so I’m looking forward to understanding the game and the pitches there. Our captain, Ayush Matre, has also played for CSK this season, so our preparation is on track. We’re hoping to bring back a trophy from this tour as well.”
India’s U19 tour of England, scheduled from June 24 to July 23, features a 50-over warm-up match, a five-match Youth One-Day series, and two multi-day games, promising plenty of learning opportunities for the young squad.
Suryavanshi, who lit up the IPL stage with a blistering strike rate of 206.55 and a jaw-dropping 35-ball century against Gujarat Titans (the second-fastest in IPL history), reflected on his debut season with pride.
“Playing in the IPL is every young cricketer’s dream,” he said. “It was my first season, and I took away a lot of positives. I’ve identified areas to improve, and I’m determined to contribute even more in the next season.”
He added, “I’ve learned that I need to work twice as hard to help my team reach the finals next year. That’s my goal: to make an even bigger impact in the next season.”
With his eyes set on England, Suryavanshi’s fearless approach and hunger for success are sure to inspire his teammates as they chase glory overseas.
