Two more detained in Abdul Rahiman murder case in Bantwal

Bantwal, May 31: In connection with the murder of Abdul Rahiman and the grievous assault on Kalandar Shafi at Irakodi in Kuriyal village, under the jurisdiction of Bantwal rural police station on May 27, further progress has been made in the ongoing investigation. Two more individuals were detained on Friday May 30.

The case has been registered at Bantwal rural police station under crime no. 54/2025, Sections 191(1), 191(2), 191(3), 118(1), 118(2), 109, 103 along with 190BNS 2023. Three accused have already been taken into custody in relation to the case.


Abdul Rahiman

Sumith Acharya (27) of Tenkabelluru village, Bantwal, and Raviraj (23) of Badagabelluru village, Bantwal, were taken into custody and are currently being interrogated. The investigation is ongoing, and further legal action will be taken based on its outcome, said the police.
