Kuwait City, May 27: Leading an all-party Indian delegation in Kuwait, BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda engaged with both Indian regional media and local Kuwaiti press to underscore India’s unwavering national consensus on combating cross-border terrorism and to highlight the deepening strategic ties between the two nations.
At a media roundtable, Panda emphasized, “India stands firm—no tolerance, no compromise. Together with our delegation, we’re sharing India’s determined stance against terror and our growing partnership with Kuwait to fight this global menace.”
Earlier, the delegation toured the ‘Rihla-e-Dosti: 250 Years of India–Kuwait Friendship’ exhibition at Kuwait’s National Library. Displaying rare manuscripts, coins, and artefacts, the exhibit traced centuries of cultural and economic exchange. “This showcase reminds us of the enduring bond between our peoples,” Panda noted.
On Monday, the group took part in a traditional Diwaniya-style dialogue with Kuwaiti civil society—royals, former ministers, editors, and think-tank experts—to discuss the “New Normal” in India’s counter-terror strategy. The Embassy of India in Kuwait reported a unanimous call among participants: “Terrorism is anti-humanity and must be defeated by all means.”
The delegation also met with members of Kuwait’s Indian diaspora, sharing updates on Operation Sindoor, India’s precise and proportionate response to the Pahalgam terror attack, and reinforcing the message of ‘Zero Tolerance’ toward Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism.
A high-level meeting with Sheikh Abdullah Saad Al-Maousherji, Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, further solidified cooperation. Panda and his colleagues detailed recent events—from the Pahalgam atrocity to India’s calibrated military response—while the Sheikh affirmed, “Terrorism has no justification.”
The delegation—part of the Operation Sindoor outreach campaign—includes MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Asaduddin Owaisi, Satnam Singh Sandhu, former J&K CM Ghulam Nabi Azad, and ex-diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla, all working to rally global support against cross-border terror.
