The victim, a resident of Belagavi, had gone to a farmhouse on the outskirts of the city with one of the accused. Subsequently, the other two suspects joined them.

One of the accused, Sakib, had reserved a room at the farmhouse. It is alleged that the suspects gang-raped the girl during a party held there. After the assault, one of the accused reportedly removed the girl's necklace.

Meanwhile, the victim's mother noticed the absence of the necklace around her daughter's neck and questioned her. The girl eventually disclosed the incident, prompting the family to file a complaint with the police.

A POCSO case has been registered at the Tilakwadi police station, and efforts are underway to apprehend the police officer's son, who is currently evading arrest.
