Bantwal: Drunk youths flee without paying for petrol, crash car into 2 vehicles

Bantwal, May 21: Two youths under the influence of alcohol allegedly refuelled their Alto car at a petrol pump in BC Road and fled without paying. The incident took place on Tuesday, May 20, as they sped off via Salettur and crashed into an Activa scooter and a pickup vehicle at Palthaje.

Abubakker, a resident of Kattatthila who was riding the Activa, sustained serious injuries in the accident.

Police personnel from 112 emergency service and Vittal station arrived at the scene and took the car and the two inebriated youths into custody.

The duo, who spoke in Hindi, are believed to be from outside the state.
