Kasargod: Six-year-old boy rescued after leg gets caught in bicycle chain

Kasargod, May 20: A six-year-old boy was rescued by fire and emergency services personnel after his leg got caught in a bicycle chain in Thalangara near Kasargod on May 19 evening.

The child was riding a bicycle when his leg got entangled in the chain, causing him immense pain. Hearing his cries, family members and local residents rushed to the spot and tried to free him but were unsuccessful.

The Kasargod fire and emergency services department was alerted. A team led by officer V N Gopalan arrived at the scene and used a cutter to break the chain and safely rescue the boy.

The child sustained injuries to his leg and has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

    O God ,leg caught in bicycle chain .It is terrible pain even for elders too.For a boy it must be hell for long hours.Thank God he was freed .In such situation when difficult is always call professional helpers to save time and more danger to patient than simply workout self.Hope still his leg will heal soon without much problems.

    Tense moments with everyone around him.The little boy will be in terrible pain for many minutes and struggling to come out and others trying to free the boy.However it was all in vain when finally fire safety people arrived to give boy a ultimate relief .Just imagine how much he suffered.You can see from the picture.
