Bantwal, May 16: In a shocking incident near the Akkarangadi bus stop, close to Panemangalore, a young man was attacked with a knife by a group of four individuals on Friday night. The attackers fled the scene after injuring the victim.

The injured person has been identified as Hameed, also known as Ammi, who works as a painter. He sustained serious injuries to his hand and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru by local residents for urgent treatment.

This incident has raised concerns in Dakshina Kannada, which had just started returning to normalcy after the recent Suhas Shetty murder case. The motive behind the attack is still unclear, and local authorities are conducting a preliminary investigation to determine the reasons behind it.

The Bantwal police arrived at the location and are thoroughly examining the situation.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are looking for clues to understand what led to this violent episode in the otherwise peaceful region.
