Byndoor, Jun 23: "Our happiness, memories, and sweet bonds will endure as long as government schools remain. Preserving these institutions and providing adequate facilities is a significant task," MLA Gururaj Gantihole stated during the inauguration of self-employment skill centres, a part of the 300 trees project by Samridha Byndur. "Donors have shown great encouragement for this initiative," he added.

He further emphasised the role of government schools in nurturing successful individuals, saying, "Many who have studied in government schools now hold prominent positions. These schools have been pivotal in their success."

Highlighting specific needs, Gantihole noted, "While some schools require new buildings, others urgently need infrastructure like computers. Plans are underway to fulfill these requirements through donations." He underscored the importance of community involvement, stating, "Maintaining all government schools requires the enthusiasm of teachers, alumni, and local support. We have identified schools in need and are mobilising resources accordingly."

The inauguration also saw the launch of self-employment skill centres aimed at enhancing students' skills and computer literacy at primary and secondary levels. "These centers will bolster the strength of government schools," Gantihole affirmed.

Among the dignitaries present were Nagaraja Shetty Jadkal, president of Swayam Shirtha Foundation, Srinivasa Pujari, vice-president of Ullur Grama Panchayat, and other local leaders and community members.
