Kasargod, Dec 9: A tragic incident unfolded in Goliyadka under the jurisdiction of Badiyadka police station on Saturday December 9 when a tipper lorry driver attempted to escape after losing control, ultimately succumbing to a fatal accident.

The victim, Naufal (24) from Charladka Edurthodi, lost his life in the unfortunate incident. The lorry, laden with sand, veered out of control at Goliyadka on a slope road, prompting the driver to jump out in an attempt to escape. Tragically, Naufal suffered severe injuries upon colliding with the same lorry and was rushed to Kumble hospital by locals. Despite their efforts, he could not be saved.

The out-of-control lorry collided with a mud wall near a private residence in Goliyadka, and the commotion drew the attention of nearby residents. The Badiyadka police station has initiated an investigation into the incident and has filed a case.

There are allegations from citizens and relatives suggesting that the police pursuit of the tipper lorry may have contributed to the accident. Speculation arises that the driver lost control on the sloped road while attempting to evade police chase. Family members have voiced concerns and doubts regarding the circumstances leading to this tragic event. The investigation is in progress.
