Mangaluru: Expert PU College holds orientation programme for 2023–24 batch

Mangaluru, Jun 9: The Expert PU college, Kodialbail witnessed a remarkable start to the academic year 2023 – 24 with the first PUC orientation programme for the newly admitted students and their parents held on June 3-4 at Expodium in Kodialbail campus.

Under the theme of 'Igniting Minds, Shaping Futures', the programme began with the resonating strains of the college anthem followed by the lighting of the lamp which marked the official commencement of the event.

Prof Ramachandra Bhat, principal of Expert PU College, Kodialbail, provided the audience with thought-provoking introductory remarks, emphasizing the importance of holistic education and critical thinking.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman of Expert Group of Institution delivered the presidential address. In his address assured the parents that their wards will get the best of education at Expert with the state-of-the-art facilities and congenial ambience available. He advised the students to be focused and determined to pursue their goals through discipline and hard work. Prof Nayak also administered the oath, reinforcing the significance of integrity and ethical values in academic pursuits, thus inducting the students into the Expert family.

The programme continued with insightful sessions delivered by notable speakers. B Vinay Kumar, a member of, academic committee outlined the academic plan for the academic year 2023-24 and its execution, highlighting the college's commitment to academic excellence and overall development.

Shyam Prasad S, the All India Competitive Exam (AICE) coordinator, enlightened the students about the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the realm of competitive examinations, providing valuable guidance to aspiring participants.

Ankush N Nayak, the IT director at Expert Group of Institutions, conducted a session on technology. He elaborated on the technical facilities at Expert and educated the students and their parents regarding the necessities of basic technical know-how in the present era especially on the Expert campus, online class platforms, digital payments etc.

Prithvi D’Souza, lecturer in maths and Bhuvaneshwari Shetty, student welfare officer and lecturer in chemistry delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all the dignitaries and participants who made the event a resounding success. Joan Zita D’Souza, Ujwal and Latha Shenoy hosted the three consecutive programmes.

The first PU orientation programme set a promising foundation for the upcoming academic year, instilling a sense of enthusiasm and determination among students and faculty members alike. With a comprehensive academic plan, competitive exam guidance, and a focus on technology, the college is poised to provide an exceptional learning experience to its students.
