Bengaluru, Jun 1: Former BJP chief minister Basavaraj Bommai has urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah not cut any allocations for implementing the Congress party’s 5 Guarantees estimated to cost Rs 50,000 crore and at the same time ensure that the people were forced to bear additional tax burden to fund them.

In a detailed letter to the chief minister, copies of which have been also been released to the media, Bommai reminded that the State’s priority sectors of education, health, women’s development, infrastructure development should not suffer and the interests of farmers, Dalits and the neglected sections as well as backward classes must be protected.

Bommai has urged the Congress government to ensure that the limit of the short term loans to farmers, which has been enhanced from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh must not be reduced, the allocation of Rs 1,500 crore for the revolving fund to meet the requirements of minimum support price for agricultural produce should not be cut, the construction of classrooms as well as the allocations for different scholarships to the children of farmers, fishermen, working class, weavers and other categories must be continued and the allocations to various development programmes must be continued.

The government must implement all the Centrally sponsored schemes besides infrastructure projects, he said.

The BJP leader has demanded that the chief minister must give detailed financial allocations and a clearer picture of how the guarantees will be funded.

Bommai is a real bomma. Give congos time to play your game in a different waym during the time they have and instead of gettig 40% from contractors, they can use a "slush" fund raised from their croropathi beneficiaries.

We don’t need advice from who have done zero development without accountability.and transparency. Definitely Sidda will not do your type of development of communalism, 40% corruption and crimes as claimed by your ministers who said developments are not important.. BTW, all guarantees and benefits are also developments compared to your developments in case you can not comprehend.

Bommai ji, did you give detailed report on how much you have spent on various development and how much (40%) commission looted from Public funds ? If not, then appreciate your quiteness and allow our new CM to run his government. New CM is more matured and senior to you and all your MLA's who have been asking guarantees on day 1.
