Madikeri: Wooden log enters jeep cracking windshield; providential escape for driver

Daijiworld Media Network – Madikeri (MS)

Madikeri, Jan 29: The driver of a jeep had a providential escape as a huge wooden log slipped, fell from a truck, pierced through the windshield and entered inside the cabin of the jeep at Jodupala near Sampaje.

On the night of Friday, a 14-wheeler truck was transporting huge wooden logs to Mangaluru. As the rope that was tied around the logs broke near Jodupala, the wooden logs rolled onto the road.

One of the wooden logs flew and pierced through the windshield of the jeep that was going to Madenadu from Jodupala. Fortunately, it did not hit the driver. The jeep was badly damaged. Highway traffic got disrupted for some time.

A case in this connection is registered in Madikeri rural police station.

common in third world countries my friend..nothing to be surprised about..every time you step out on the road pray and proceed..no one knows it may be the last journey also...so bad is the condition of roads, traffic sense of people and total lack of apathy of people who call themselves as authorities
