Mangaluru: MCCQ Charitable Trust provides scholarships to 20 needy students

Mangaluru, Jan 26: The Mangalore Cricket Club (MCCQ) provided scholarships to 20 deserving and needy students of Mangalore and Udupi Diocese for the fourth year at Padua College auditorium here on January 26.

Secretary of the Catholic Education Board, Fr Anthony Shera, blessing the occasion, said the students should make use of the facility in a right manner. In future, the students should come forward to help the needy in the society once you attain a good position.

Lauding MCCQ for its good initiative of helping the needy students by distributing the scholarship, Mandd Sobhann president Louis Pinto said, "MCCQ is a vibrant club which has been organising several programmes."

He also called upon the students to be good citizens of the country. With proper discipline and hard work, one can achieve success in life, he added.

Former presidents of MCCQ and advisors Richard D'Souza and Norbert Kord were present.
