Sullia, Jan 27: A lone tusker is wandering in the taluk. Information regarding its movement and alerts are being spread through social media in the taluk to prevent any injury or loss of life.

After roaming at Pambethadi and Panja on the night of Wednesday, the tusker was sighted at Pulikukku area. Videos of the tusker wandering in the night are also circulated on social media.

It is said that this particular tusker has been arriving in residential areas at this time of the year for the past many years.

The locals have posted that it has started making rounds from Panja this year.

The Panja forest department officials said that the tusker had roamed in the same Pambethadi and Panja area in February 2021. Later it went to Chinganigudde, crossing state highway at Karikkala and went into Enmoor reserve forest.

This is really scary... Forest officials must take immediate action and send the animal to its natural habitat (very little left for them anyway)....
