Sullia: Mortal remains of woman found in gunny bag – Accused husband arrested

Sullia, Nov 26: Police arrested a man, accused of killing his wife and stuffing her body into a gunny bag before escaping from the spot.

Imran Sheikh, native of West Bengal is the accused arrested by Sullia police with the help of police of West Bengal. He was brought to Sullia on November 24.

Imran was working in a hotel in Sullia and used to reside in a rented house at Beeramangala for the past seven months. Few days ago, he told his employer that he is leaving to native place. However, when he left home, he went alone and also screams were heard from his house the day before he left. Neighbours suspected foul play and informed the hotel owner and police. Later, when the police opened the door of the house, they found the mortal remains of Imran’s wife stuffed in a gunny bag.

Police started searching for Imran on the suspicion that he must have killed his wife.
