Oct 20: Dakshina Kannada reports 146 new corona cases, Udupi 136; five deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 20: As per the Dakshina Kannada district health bulletin, a total of 2,29,948 samples have been tested so far, out of which 2,01,381 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 28,567, including 146 new cases reported on Tuesday. Out of these, 2,941 cases are currently active.

As many as 299 people were discharged on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 24,985.

A total of 641 deaths have occured so far, including four on Tuesday.

Udupi

As per the Udupi district health bulletin, a total of 1,60,438 samples have been tested so far, out of which 1,39,444 have turned out to be negative.

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 20,994, including 136 fresh cases on Tuesday. Out of these, 1,742 cases are currently active.

As many as 219 patients were discharged on Tuesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 19,114.

A total of 176 deaths have occured so far, including one on Tuesday.
