Mumbai, Jul 12: Actress Lara Dutta shared a glimpse of her long-standing friendship with Priyanka Chopra after the two reunited and celebrated a bond that has lasted more than two decades.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Lara posted a cheerful photograph of the two together and captioned it, "26 years later, happy girls are still the..." along with heart emojis, reflecting on their enduring friendship.

Priyanka also shared a picture from their meeting, writing, "So good to see my girl."

The photographs showed the actresses smiling as they posed together, with Priyanka placing her hand on Lara's shoulder. Priyanka opted for a white outfit, while Lara was dressed in a blue ensemble paired with a white shrug and hat.

The two former beauty queens first shared screen space in the 2003 film Andaaz, which also starred Akshay Kumar and marked the Bollywood debut of both actresses.

They later reunited in Don 2, directed by Farhan Akhtar, where Priyanka played the lead role of Roma and Lara made a special appearance as Ayesha.

Lara Dutta was crowned Miss Universe in 2000, while Priyanka Chopra won the Miss World title the same year, making it a landmark moment for India in international beauty pageants.

The reunion comes shortly after both actresses were seen at Wimbledon, where Priyanka attended the women's singles semi-final and later shared moments from the tournament, including a video call with her husband, Nick Jonas, during the match.
