Oman lifts lockdown after restrictions eased

Muscat, Aug 8: Oman has gradually eased its coronavirus restrictions and the country has lifted its lockdown. However, as per the decisions taken, Dhofar province would continue to remain under lockdown until further notice, as per reports from the country's Supreme Committee.

The night restrictions would continue for about a week starting from Saturday August 8 and no unnecessary travel would be permitted between 9.00 pm and 5.00 am.

The committee also updated the weather report over the Arabian Sea and reported that some provinces are expected to be affected.
