Kundapur, Aug 4: Byndoor taluk Horata Samiti president, Byndoor Bantara Yane Nadavara Sangha president, retired IFS official B Jagannath Shetty breathed his last on Tuesday.

He led the long campaign to create Byndoor taluk finally succeeding in it. He was known as a sincere official as a forest conservator. He indulged actively in international Rotary organization and became a Rotary governor.

He belonged to the Yadthare clan and was active in Bantara sangha. He used to take part in programmes actively putting young people to shame.

He was a member secretary of the forest Act amendment committee in 1997. His book on forest Act was the textbook of Forest Science.

He left behind three sons and three daughters.

    The First IFS Officer from Bunts community Bandadi Jagannath Shetty who served as Karnataka Chief Conservator of Forest. He is the close relative of Late Yedthare Manjayya Shetty, Ex-MLA and both acquired name in the circle.

    His wife expired two months back.

    He is indeed a great Inspiration to everyone. Let his family and relatives get enough strength to bear the great loss.
