'It was a test, we passed', Sheikh Mohammed congratulates students as academic year ends

Dubai, Jul 3: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, gave an inspirational and heartfelt video message to the students to mark the end of the academic year. It came as an unexpected and extraordinary gift for the students.

The ruler, in a video tweet, said that the year had been an unprecedented academic year. He appreciated the faculty, students, and parents for their diligence and dedication.

"Dear students, an unprecedented academic year has ended...a test for all of us, but we all passed. Thank you for your diligence. We thank you, parents, dedicated teachers," he said.

He ended wishing the students a happy holiday. "Have a happy holiday & see you next year in the best of health & success," he said.

In the wake of COVID-19, all the educational institutions in the UAE were directed to close. To complete the academic year the education facilities reworked in online classes and provide e-learning facilities.

Minister of education, Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi has confirmed that the next academic year in UAE would commence from August 30.
