Mangaluru: Rendered orphan after parents' murder, Kinnigoli children need your support

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, May 3: The double murder of Vincent (50) and his wife Helen (45) has left the residents of Yelinje in shock. The couple was brutally killed by a neighbour in broad daylight on April 29 at Yelinje village near Damaskatte in Kinnigoli near here.

The residents know the couple to have been kind and helpful to the needy and maintained friendly relationship with the people around. The entire village is mourning the untimely death of the couple. But what adds to the pain is that the murder has left their children, a daughter and a son, orphaned at a tender age.

Jennifer Queeni D’Souza, the elder daughter of the couple, had just completed her tenth while their son Joshua Dion D’Souza is studying in fourth standard at Lakshmi Janardhana International School, Belman. The unfortunate incident has rendered the children totally helpless. Just like any responsible parents, the couple had big dreams for their children who are doing excellent academically. Their sudden deaths did not give the couple an opportunity to secure their children's future.

Taking note of the current situation and helplessness of Queeni and Joshua, a few close aides of their family have come forward to mobilise education fund for their further studies. Also, a few kind-hearted people have voluntarily expressed to help the children in their other needs. The children hope to continue their studies and achieve their dreams, and have faith in generous donors to stand by them in these difficult times.

Close relatives and well-wishers of the family have requested people to contribute to fund the education of Queeni and Joshua.

Daijiworld urges its kind-hearted readers to extend all possible support to Queeni and Joshua towards their education and well-being.

Those wishing to help the children may send their contributions to:

The children have to overcome the trauma and counselling is the need of the hour. On both sides of the family identify the people they are close to and ensure the void created by parents is filled with love, care and protection. They will need a friend who can understand them better.
If Late Vincent was Ex-Serviceman, the children are eligible for state scholarship, PM scholarship, CET quota etc if they are scoring good marks. As they are minor, If I am not wrong, there is also Group Insurance Scheme and shouldalso get benefits of Canteen Stores department.
when the new academic starts, talk to the schools/ college for fees concession that might again be handy from financial perspective.
I will do my part of the contribution to the account.
May the Lord almighty guide them, protect them, bless them and the guardians too. God Bless.

First of all is anyone here who knows Thier guardians or whoever is taking care of these kids, please do not leave them like this. They need psychiatric help ASAP to help them move on. Watchin a parent killed might damage them to a greater extent. Hoping councillors/psychiatrists make a attempt to help these kids for free.

Since these tender children experienced the horrible scenario of killing their parents, they must be still in shock .and might remain this for long time.Best is give them now a Psychological assistance by a professional doctor. That will help them to recover slowly ,and to continue their school education.Thats most important.Otherwise they will suffer life long with fear ,and feel parentless.Let them be strong in mind and may God help them ,bless them.

Will surely help them, however my concern is they should be under right Foster Care.

Last thing we want is them suffering under some selfish relative.

As they are little kids money should be utlized by foster care for their day to day expense.

Also their father being ex CRPF person i hope they will receive their due pension on time.

    Thanks Daiji.

Take support of rich people to support two childrens and now itself should be taken care of money which should not be misused by others and finally all amount should go to their account(childrens) once they become major.Once they are major the amount to be transferred to thier joint account(both to sign the cheques jointly) and misuse by third party can be avoided. They also need moral support till they get well setteled. I pray god to support these innocent kids... God Bless

Yes. There is one more person's name is there.

Without parents it is very difficult for the Orphan children to take care.

Money should not be mis used by some one.

We will definitely help the children. Nothing more to say.

Very sad incident. Please note there is a child welfare committee. Children's care, protection, education, guardianship, rehabilitation and overall development is their responsibility. Few family members may stand by now. Financial aid may flow in. A new problem will crop up if it is not handled properly.
The concerned guardians, rightful custodians please take correct steps.
If am of any help am ready to extend guidance, help.
    Children must be empathetically supported.

I don't think it's the money that the children want right now. Protect their privacy, shift them to a loving, caretaking family till they finish their education. Let them come to terms of the reality, slowly and at their own time.

Nothing can cover the void created by the demise of their parents. The more you highlight their plight, the more orphaned they will feel. Leave them alone to grow up strong and willful.
