Bengaluru: Plot targeting Tejasvi Surya, Sulibele - Police look for mastermind, financial source

Bengaluru, Jan 19: The police are now concentrating on finding out the main conspirator behind the attempt to attack Hindu leaders relating to which six persons have been arrested, and the hidden sources which have been providing funds to them.

Irfan, Syed Akbar, Syed Siddique Akbar, Akbar Basha, Sanaulla Shariff and Sadiq-ul-Amin, all SDPI activists, were arrested relating to attempt to murder a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activist, Varun, on December 22.

The gang had provided explosive details of the plans hatched by the organization. The police team is seriously pursuing the revelation that an effort was being made to kill city south MP, Tesasvi Surya and orator and Yuva Brigade founder, Chakravarthi Sulibele.

The police said that they are now trying to find out the mastermind who has been working behind these and similar acts. Internal security department along with Anti Terrorist Squad are in operation. The police want to find those who are guiding the operations of the gang, where did they stay after committing crime etc. The arrested persons are said to be tight-lipped on these issues.

Out of the six persons arrested, four are involved with other cases too, the police have claimed. They also plan to get information about how these people were communicating with their cadres. The police want to find who was providing Rs 10,000 to each of the recruits and how this money was distributed.
