Mandya: Footwear hurled at disqualified MLA Narayana Gowda while filing nomination

Daijiworld Media Network - Mandya (MS)

Mandya, Nov 19: Footwear were hurled by some people, who are believed to be workers of JD(S) on disqualified MLA K C Narayana Gowda, while he was proceeding to file his nomination as a BJP candidate for the K R Pet assembly by-elections.

It is said that some workers of JD (S) expressed their rage on Narayana Gowda, when he was going to the taluk office to file nomination, along with minister Madhuswamy, his wife Devaki and some BJP leaders, by hurling footwear at him. Narayana Gowda, who got infuriated by this behaviour of JD(S) activists tried to get into a scuffle with them. However, he was stopped by the police and taken inside the Taluk office.

As Narayana Gowda came out of the taluk office after filing the nomination, he was escorted by the police to his car. During this time also, it is learnt that, the JD(S) workers threw footwear and also held black flag in protest.

Reacting to the sandal attack on him, BJP candidate, said, "JD(S) workers have beat me with footwear. They have attacked minister Madhuswamy also. JD(S) candidate Devaraju will have to bear the brunt of this incident.

"Who are you people to throw footwear and assault me? Politics has to be played in a political manner. I have not come here to do politics. I have come to develop the taluk. I have not joined BJP to acquire wealth by doing politics."

Responding to the accusation that JD(S) workers have thrown footwear on Narayana Gowda, former minister and senior leader of the party, H D Revanna said, "It is not our culture to throw footwear or assault. Narayana Gowda is just playing drama. Even when he deserted JD(S), our workers have not abused or misbehaved with him. He is making up this story to get sympathy of voters.

"The loan waiver of Rs 26,000 crore done by former CM Kumaraswamy is the blessing for JD(S) in the upcoming assembly by-elections. Our workers are silent as a lesson to be taught to the disqualified MLAs in the by-elections. It is better if Narayana Gowda takes retirement from politics and goes to Mumbai."

Following last assembly elections in Karnataka, the government is yet to start functioning.
Two governments formed and still the dombarata has not settled. Who knows what may
happen to the present government. It may fall again and then only governor's rule can justify.

One MLA got richer by 180crore, within 03 days after affiliating with BJP and these guys talk of developing their taluk. They are really smarter, than the people who foolishly follow them and vote for them. They can put some chamcha's or bhattanghi's or bhakths to chant their names to make them hero's in public domain.
