Mangaluru: ‘Poetics' extends financial aid to late Jerry Bajjodi's family

Mangaluru, Sep 23: ‘Poetics’, a group of Konkani poets from the city organized a monthly poetry session at Infant Mary church hall, Bajjodi on Sunday September 22.

Fr Ivan D'Souza, parish priest, Bajjodi parish graced the event and handed over the financial help collected by the members of Poetics to the family of late Jerry Bajjodi, singer and music composer who died a couple of weeks ago while singing in a musical event. Jocy Sidhakatte, Wilson Kateel, Babush Rodriguez, Vincent Pinto, Angelore, Alwyn Danthy were present on the dais.

‘Vengenth Moga’ the second Konkani album of Nelson Mathias Pernal was released in the event.



Later, Alwyn Danthy, teacher, poet and well-known compere chaired the poetry session. Bro Jovin Sequira, Andrew L D Cunha, Jocy Siddhakatte, Vincent Pinto, Angelore, Stany Bela, Alphonse Mendonca, Babush Rodriguez, Roshu Bajpe, Anil Pernal, Jaison Sequira, Daya Victor, Wilson Kateel, Santhosh Bajjodi recited their poems.

Henry M Pernal, poet and known critic spoke on recited poems and analyzed the session.

Vincent Pinto compered the event. Jocy Siddhakatte rendered the vote of thanks.
