Bypolls for 15 vacant seats in Karnataka on Oct 21, counting of votes on Oct 24

New Delhi, Sep 21: “Fifteen seats in Karnataka, the seats that fell vacant after Karnataka MLAs were disqualified, will go for bypolls on October 21,”, announced Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora on Saturday, September 21.

The CEC gave the information while announcing the dates for Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana.

The last date of nominations will be September 30. The last date for withdrawal of candidatures is October 3. The counting will be held on October 24. 

Apart from Karnataka, by-elections will be held across Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, MP, Meghalaya, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh, on October 21.
