To prevent such tragedies, our beloved MLA was given a suggestion. He did not get time to respond or acknowledge. Might be busy with the flood situation. I asked him to secure the bridge with iron mesh/net instead CCTV

How many will die under the bridge of death??? While one cant imagine the amount of mental disaster one goes through leading to sucides, it is absurd that so many choose to do so. Society should do much more to bring this under control. We need a lot of counselling and also financial rehabilitation programs

Committing suicide is a wild thought not knowing how to overcome. The life could be saved if there happen to be someone just distracts his/her attention. I suggest one should hang a board near every pillar of the bridge to say " Do you want to commit suicide, Call this phone number and we will tell you the most easy way to commit suicide, rather than jumping over from this bridge into the river where there are lot of boulders to which you will hit and suffer an excruciating pain before dying" . Tell him/her we will tell you about an alternative bridge where the river is full of cay and if you jump from there you shall sink in the clay five feet down and it will be the most easy and painless way of dying.

Keep the person engaged during which his suicidal thought might die down, and in the meanwhile send a rescue team to bring the person safely

Lacking Job creations which lead financial instability is the root cause for most of the suicide problems. Industries have gone under grave patches since the day introduce Demonitization and GST. A report hitting the headlines nowadays that automobile industries on the verge of collapse across the country putting around 1million job at risk. After Bosch ltd,now Sundaram -Clayout and Hero Moto Corp announced temporary shutdown their production. While we Indians busy in discussing article 370 , NRC and TT forcibly introduced by the govt and sadly we didn't yet realize their motives. We are lacking strong opposition parties to counter it in the house of the parliament except a lone struggle voice of Owaisi

Sir... Installing CC TV camera you can't stop a person whose mentality completely changed for suicide. Our MLA Vedavyas Kamath is working very hard for uplifting the living style of Mangloreans. Those who suffering from psychological problems must be identified by their colleges and especially parents and subordinates .

Ganesh Kamath, Mangalore — please stop kidding yourself! Before making promises to install chi chi tea wee Vedavyas should have used his common sense that you can't stop a person whose mentality completely changed for suicide!

Ganesh Kamath are you dreaming no chance of installing CC TV and any other improvement in Mangalore. Are you joking that our MLA is working very hard or hardly. No changes after he became MLA no signals are working, no footpaths built.

Given the frequency of these incidents, also this being a preferred place for suicide to many people now, looks like there’s a need to build a ramp for these sort of people to fecilitate the jump now.

But then again considering how long it takes to build just a proper circle/flyover in Mangalore, (referring to Pumpwell or Nanthoor here) forget about it !

God The Father on free will choices regarding Salvation and why corrupt leadership.

    Message to Maureen.

    August 16, 2019
    Public

Once again, I (Maureen) see a Great Flame that I have come to know as the Heart of God the Father. He says: "Children, each one of you has been made according to My design. Each one has strengths and weaknesses. I have a purpose for each soul - that is to share Heaven with Me. It is free-will choices which determine if the soul is worthy of Heaven."

"These days most souls do not work towards the goal of Heaven which I created them for. Free will is not molded around the ultimate goal of salvation. This is why you have corrupt leadership. These leaders work to fulfill selfish agendas and not for the welfare of the people. Monies are hidden from plain sight and swell under names of esteem. Most is ill-gotten gain."

"The Truth needs to be made known before power is purchased and evil served behind closed doors and important titles. Some who have had visible power in the past still perpetuate evil in the present unbeknownst to the general public. Pray that the Truth is laid bare."

After Siddartha incidence, we are hearing this type of news every week from the same bridge. This is the fourth case and only one survived. It is unfortunate.
Is there a possibility of providing strong net at some height to discourage the people attempting suicide.

Can you prevent a person who has decided to die? If not at Netravati he/she will try it somewhere else . There is Mangalore railways station, the Arabian sea , highrises in Mangalore etc etc. Why trouble them , let them die in peace and achieve what they want. Please do not spend additional money

Too many jumpings in the recent past whether they are prepared for meeting eternity or not.

Very useful beautiful prayer available on the net To LIVE.

Crusade Prayer (45) Prayer to conquer negative thoughts.

O Jesus, I know very little about You, but please help me to open my heart to allow You to come into my soul, so that You can heal me, comfort me, and fill me with Your Peace.
Help me to feel joy, to conquer all negative thoughts, and to learn the way to make me understand how to please You, so that I can enter Your New Paradise, where I can live a life of love, joy and wonder with You, forever and ever.
    Amen.

If unsuccessful, consoling prayer for their loved ones to pray for the souls departed.

If you have to face death or if a loved one has to face death then always turn to Me, your Jesus, to help. When you do I will lift you in spirit, wipe away your tears, banish all fear from your hearts when you recite this prayer.

Crusade Prayer (142) Preparing for death
My dearest Jesus, forgive me my sins. Cleanse my soul and prepare me to enter Your Kingdom.
Grant me the Graces to prepare for my unification with You. Help me to overcome any fear.
Grant me the courage to prepare my mind and my soul, so that I am fit to stand before You.
I love You. I trust in You. I give You myself in body, mind and soul for eternity. Let Your Will be mine and release me from pain, doubts or confusion. Amen.

I think it is better to keep vigil on both side of the river by protection force like in Ullal sea shore. They must sit on the bank of the river to watch. Administration must bear the expense. This should be 24× 7. Till the administration raises the bridge wall upto that level, so nobody should jump. Otherwise it will be regular news.

I think administration should not spend the money on raising the bridge wall and all, have to full fill a lot of pending basic needs .

Suicide guards, selfie railing around waterfalls, sea, hill station are not recommended at all, just imagine steel rods, cement blocks in between, ( as a suicide guard) while we enjoy the natures beauty.

Yes, unfortunately its becoming regular news.
