Udupi, Jul 22: On the eve of Gurupoornima and Vanamahotsava, Muniyal Ayurveda Manipal recently organised a programme of free distribution of valuable medicinal plants like Bilwa, Rampatra, Garden Ashoka, Teakwood, Kokum, Soapnut, Amrithaballi, Pippali etc.

The programme was formally inaugurated by the principal, Dr Satyanarayana, vice principal and HOD of Dravyaguna department Dr Chandrakanth Bhat, senior doctor Dr Dinesh Nayak in the premises of Muniyal Ayurveda.

Doctors of the department of Dravyaguna, Dr Hariprasad Shetty, Dr Reju Krishnan R, Dr Archana Kalluraya, Dr Ranjitha participated in the programme.

As per the institution's news report, several thousand saplings were distributed to many colleges, associations, temples and various other places.
